Robert Galea is a seminarian reading for a theology and philosophy degree at the University of Malta. While on this road towards priesthood he also has a great passion to let the cry of his heart shout loud through his music.
Following the tremendous success of his 3-track single ‘More of You’, released in 2004, he has been given the opportunity to record his latest project in the UK under top Christian Music producer Neil Costello (City of Gold, Spring Harvest, One Heart One Voice). With musicians such as Mark Prentice (Delirious), Neil Costello (Gloria Gaynor), Paul Evans (Tim Hughes and Matt Redman) and more, as well as Robert’s “rich vocals” (Phil Loose ICC Records), “transparent and real lyrics” (Chris York EMI Christian Music Group) and catchy tunes, this project caught the attention of a number of international Christian record labels during his short stay in the United Kingdom.
Once more we have another album by Fr Karm Debattista mssp who is now well known for his Christian songs. This is, in fact, his seventh album. In these last eleven years we can see a long way from his first album in both the musical style and the quality. The improvement goes hand in hand with the progress of contemporary music.
This new album is entitled Agħmilni Bħalek (Make me like you). Like all the previous albums this is the name of one of the tracks and like all the other albums it is the ninth track of the cd. When asked, Fr Karm gave the reasons for this. He said that in the choice of the list of songs for the first two albums (Fittixtek and Jum Ġdid) the title track was put as number 9 by chance. So then, he kept on following this procedure in the following albums without any particular reason at all.
